Choir Notes for October
Concert Report Options:
- Tonight there is a choir concert at the U of U in the Libby Gardner recital hall at 7:30 p.m. Free if students show their student ID to the ushers at the door!
- October 13th is the band/orchestra concert at 7:00 p.m. at Highland. It is free.
Tour:
- Payments are due tomorrow. To pay online, go to myschoolfees.com and pay under your student's name (it is not listed in the public fees).
- Scholarship applications will be available October 12th from me and are due October 19th.
- Make checks out to Highland High School.
Uniforms:
- All uniforms must be ready to be worn by October 18th. I am still waiting on four men's ensemble vests, but everything else has arrived. Women may need to hem dresses- please do that before the 18th.
- Those who are purchasing uniforms from someone else need to pay them before I will release the uniform to you. That needs to be done before the 18th as well.
- All shoes must be entirely black. No white rubber around the edges!
Dessert Fundraiser Tickets:
- Today and tomorrow, every student is getting 5 tickets to sell over the next week or so. We sell our desserts in advance rather than at the door so we know how many desserts we need.
- Ticket money is due October 17th. You can pay online (myschoolfees.com) or to the treasurer.
- Checks should be made out to Highland High School.
- Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20.
- The student that sells the most tickets gets a gift basket.
- The class that sells the most tickets per person gets a party.
- Students who do not sell their tickets MUST RETURN THEM BACK TO ME by October 17th. They have cash value, so please bring them back!
- If we have leftover desserts, we will sell them at the door; however, that is first come, first serve and we prefer to pre-sell.
- Students must purchase a dessert if they want one.
Important Choir Dates:
- October 7: Tour deposit of $200 is due.
- October 8: Mattress fundraiser for tour in the HHS Auditorium from 10-5 p.m.
- October 12: Tour scholarship applications available
- October 18: Dessert Fundraiser (6:00-7:00 p.m.) and concert (7:00-8:00 p.m.). Call time for students is 6:30 p.m. in case they want to enjoy a dessert first.
- October 19: Tour scholarship applications due
- October 28: End of the term- Concert Reports due!
