2017-2018 Choir Calendar of Events

Listed below are the dates and times of events outside of school that may affect your choir student throughout the year.  Anything required for a particular class is indicated.  The performances required for ALL CHOIRS are in RED.  Any updates to the calendar for choir council socials or additional performance opportunities throughout the year will be in BLUE. I will send an email alerting students/parents of calendar additions.

September:

• Monday, 9/18: Homecoming Carnival (Choir Council will have a booth- come visit!)
• Thursday-Saturday, 9/28-9/29: Shakespeare Festival @ SUU in Cedar City (Madrigals only)

October:

• Tuesday, 10/17: Dessert Fundraiser and Term 1 Choir Concert @ HHS, 6:00 p.m.
• Friday, 10/27: End of term 1 (term 1 concert reports are due!)

November

• Thursday, 11/2: Opening night of school musical, 7 pm
• Saturday, 11/4: School musical, 1 pm and 7 pm
• Monday, 11/6: School musical, 7 pm
• Tuesday, 11/7: School musical, 7 pm

December (Madrigals holiday calendar will be given in November):

• Friday, 12/1: Madrigals perform at COB and JSMB on Temple Square, 12:00 p.m.
• Friday, 12/1: All choirs perform at JSMB on Temple Square, 4:00 p.m.
• Friday, 12/1: Mads, Adv. Women, and CC perform at Assembly Hall at 5:30 p.m. 
• Tuesday, 12/5: Hillside Winter Concert (some choirs will perform!)
• Wednesday, 12/20: Term 2 Winter Concert @ HHS, 7:00 p.m.

January:

• Madrigals and Advanced Women will recruit to middle schools during class, date and time TBA
• Tuesday, 1/23: Freshman orientation (Choir council will have a booth)

February:

• Nothing on the calendar as of now.

March:

• Wednesday, 3/7: Region Solo and Ensemble @ Murray High (Madrigals plus anyone competing in solo/ensemble events) 
• Tuesday, 3/13: Term 3 Choir Concert @ HHS, 7:00 p.m.
• Wednesday, 3/21: Mixed Choir Festival @ TBA (Mixed Choir only)

April:

• Wednesday, 4/11: Region Concert Choir/Advanced Women's Choir Festival @ TBA (Concert Choir, Madrigals, and Advanced Women's Choir only)
• Saturday, 4/28: State Solo and Ensemble @ Northridge HS (all those who qualified for state)

May:

•  Tuesday, 5/15: Tartanfest @ 6 pm; Hillside Spring Concert @ 7 pm (some choirs will perform!)
• Monday, 5/21: Choir banquet and term 4 concert @ HHS, 7 pm
