Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. was founded in 1911 and incorporated in 1914 at Howard University, Washington D.C. The Fraternity has been active nationally and internationally for over 104 years. One of the fraternity’s key international mandated programs is the Talent Hunt. The Talent Hunt Program was established in 1945 and is implemented worldwide annually by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Its purpose is to expose and encourage young gifted, visual and performing artists while assisting them in furthering their education.

The Grand Theatre is a 1,100-seat venue located at Salt Lake Community College’s historic South City Campus, home of the innovative, state-of-the-industry Center for Arts and Media. The Grand was chosen by Sundance Institute to be a screening venue for an international audience during the annual Sundance Film Festival in 2015 and 2016. The theatre dates back to the 1930s when it was part of South High School, which SLCC purchased in 1989, a year after the school closed.
