We have some upcoming events that I wanted to make everyone aware of!
- November 23-24: Submit your name to be part of "Secret Snowmen" (OPTIONAL!)
- November 30 & December 1: Receive a "Secret Snowman" (OPTIONAL!)
- Secret Snowmen is an activity we will do the first two weeks of December. Students will get the name and folder slot number of someone else in choir. Between December 2 and December 15, students can leave encouraging notes, little treats, etc. for their "Secret Snowman." Students should NOT spend a bunch of money on this activity. Even an uplifting little note in someone's music slot goes a long way! Students will find out who their Secret Snowmen are at the choir holiday social.
- December 1: Auditions at 2:30 in the choir room to perform a specialty number in the concert
- December 3: Choirs perform at temple square!
- 3:45 p.m.:Dinner in the choir room
- 4:15 p.m.: Bus leaves HHS for Temple Square
- 5:00 p.m.: All choir students perform at the JSMB*
- 6:00 p.m.: Madrigals and Concert Choir perform at the North Visitor's Center
- 7:30 p.m.: Madrigals and Concert Choir perform in the Assembly Hall
- 8:40 p.m.: Bus arrives back @ HHS
- December 9: HHS Winter Concert
- 6:15 p.m.: Call time for all choir students
- 7:00 p.m.: Concert begins
- December 10: HHS Band Concert
- Only Concert Choir will be performing the second movement of the Sunset Mass on this concert. Choir students can watch the whole program and use this as a concert report. Concert Choir Students can use it as a Sing to Serve AND a Concert Report if they stay to watch the other choirs. If you went to the band concert last time, you should do a different concert report!
- December 15: Choir Council Caroling Social
- 6:00 p.m.: Meet in the choir room and get in to groups
- 6:15-7:00 p.m.: Go caroling
- 7:00-7:30 p.m.: Eat doughnuts, hot chocolate, and reveal secret snowmen!
- 7:30 p.m.: Go home and write your Sing to Serve paper and be DONE with that assignment!
