is the link to view who will be advancing to region to represent Highland High
School on March 15th at Bonneville High School. Remember, just because a
student wasn't chosen doesn't mean they weren't amazing- there were some
fabulous performances that couldn't advance because of song selection.
The rules are very stringent at the vocal solo and ensemble festival.
If
you made it, you need to do the following:
1)
Email me back and let me know if you accept the invitation to perform.
2)
Check the document to see that all the information I have for you is complete
and if I'm missing some information, please send it to me ASAP. I have to send
the entrance info in next week.
3)
All performances will be between 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Bonneville High School. The
schedule is sent out only a few days before the festival. Please let me
know if you have any critical time conflicts and the organizers of the festival
will try to accommodate you as best they can. Talk with your accompanist
as well.
4)
Make SURE you have an original copy of your music, copy that clearly shows it
is from the public domain, or a copy that was purchased by you legally from a
website. Otherwise, you will be disqualified and will not receive a
score. Photocopies from books are not permitted. All your measures
need to be numbered!
5)
Please let me know if you will be getting a ride from your parent or if you
will be driving yourself so I can get you the proper paperwork. Madrigals
already have the paperwork signed for this festival.
Students
who perform at region, you may stay and watch solos and ensembles for an hour
for your term 3 concert report.
