Madrigals Trip to Cedar City

First stop? The beautiful Tuacahn outdoor theater to see Sister Act the musical!

Our eager audience of HHS choir students!

Next stop? Cedar City!

Ms. Houston supporting her two schools at breakfast

Watching other schools perform!
In the warm-up room before our turn to perform!

Because of how soon after our performance the HHS One Act was, we had the privilege of singing with Voldemort!
Waiting to watch the HHS Ensemble Scene. They took third in their division and were asked to showcase! It was an incredible opportunity for them.
I was so proud of the madrigals- fantastic first performance of the season! They only awarded one "winning" school out of about 20+ schools that competed in the choral category (they didn't have catgories or places like the theater portion).  Though we didn't win, the compeition, the madrigals did a fantastic job. They got quality repertoire competition ready in a very brief period of time.  It was definitely a success and I can't wait to see what the rest of the year brings!

Workshopping with Dr. Steve Meredith, the professor of choral studies at SUU.
