Music for In-Class Performances

All music used for in-class performances either needs to be in the public domain (free and non-copyrighted) or purchased.

BUT DON'T WORRY! There are tons of free options.

Here are just a few of many links to free downloadable sheet music that would be appropriate for small group in-class performances and region solo and ensemble. Once you go to the link, click on the PDF icon next to the title:

For Small Groups (cpdl.org):

"How should I shew my love unto my love" (SATB)

"Sweet Kate of Late Ran Away and Left Me" (SAB)

"I've Been Working on the Railroad" (TTB)

For solos (imslp.org): You don't need to be a member to download free songs! Click on one of the links below and search through the thousands of songs. You can find recordings on youtube of many of the songs so you can hear what they sound like before you decide. If you are interested in doing one in a foreign language (Italian, French, Latin, German, etc.), come talk to me. We can discuss some language tips!  It may look like a lot of the songs are in second languages, but there are English songs as well.

Other Free Options:

Remember, I have several books purchased by the school in the book room! Come talk to me and I will help you pick a song that is good for your voice and tell you which book to check out.

You can also borrow from a friend or neighbor or check out choral music from my music library.  OR, you can do a song we've worked on in class with a small group!
